Joe-Elliott Guimond was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1987. He is the only child of Sunni Guimond and her late husband Joseph Guimond. Since childhood, Joe always possessed a God-given desire for adventure, a desire that God would soon bring to fruition in the most unexpected of ways. A close-knit and loving family along with their own successful automotive business made the first 15 years of Joe's life very comfortable.  Up to that time, Joe had very little desire for an intimate relationship with God; only a couple visits to his childhood Catholic church were made a year. The course of his life was completely changed in September of 2004 when his dad passed away from an unexpected heart attack. Since that day, Joe discovered an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

Thanks to the encouragement of his mother to see the world and have an adventure or two, Joe took a step of faith and moved to Tucson, Arizona. The example and leadership of his newfound best friend, Monte, further ignited the desire to seek the adventure that God had for Joe. Through his new home church, Tucson Bible Church, Joe took his first foreign mission trip with Grace Gospel Missions to La Manga, Mexico. It was there that Joe realized that the ever-present desire in his heart for adventure could only be quenched by being where God wanted him to be. Shortly after the return from Mexico, Joe and Monte were invited by Gene and Nan Cunningham to go to the jungles of Papua New Guinea to spend a month in ministry.  This furthered Joe's desire to be a missionary. He was soon after contacted by Buck Hoskin with Crossword Bible Ministries and invited to Baguio City in the Philippines.  There Joe began to pray for an open door to spend more time on the foreign mission field.  For the next two years, Joe was mentored and educated under his Pastor John Hintz at Tucson Bible Church and through the training of Grace Gospel Missions. Through GGM, God opened the door for Joe to move to Accra, Ghana to teach a large group of eager Bible students through the Bible Training Center for Pastors course.

After the first graduation of the Accra Bible Institute students he returned to the US where he has been busy speaking and serving at camps.  Joe is currently preparing to return to Ghana for a short time to continue mentoring the students. He will then meet with Dr. Dan and Pat Hill in Liberia to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is to this end that God has led Joe to be committed: that those who are lost would be saved by faith in Jesus Christ and that those who are saved would be built up in Him and know Him more by the power of the Spirit.
